Privacy policy

Who runs Wreckonomics

Wreckonomics is developed and published by Greyden Scott. This policy covers the installed game, including the iOS app and TestFlight beta, and the website at wreckonomics.app. Contact support@wreckonomics.app about privacy or your information.

The installed app

The current app is free, with no ads, in-app purchases, accounts, developer-operated cloud saves or analytics SDKs. It does not send your gameplay or save files to us automatically, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.

The app does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera or microphone. Importing a save uses a file you select. Exporting a save opens your device’s share sheet, where you choose its destination.

Gameplay works offline. Opening a website or contacting support requires a connection and involves the services described below.

Saves, backups and deletion

Your save contains gameplay progress, upgrades, credits, licences, rewards, settings and save timestamps. The installed app stores this information in its private files on your device. It also keeps local recovery copies, including the bay before your most recent import. These files are not a cloud-sync service.

Device or operating-system backup services may include app data, depending on your settings. Those backups are controlled by you and your device provider.

• Keep or transfer a save: use Settings → Export save. The JSON file is readable text. It goes only to the app, person or storage location you choose; their privacy practices apply to that copy.
• Start a new bay: Settings → Start over resets current progress after confirmation. Local recovery and import backups may remain, so this is not a complete deletion of all app data.
• Remove local iOS data: use Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Wreckonomics → Delete App. Offloading an app keeps its documents and data. Reinstalling or restoring an operating-system backup may restore data from that backup.
• Remove other copies: delete exported JSON files and any device or cloud backups separately using the controls of the service where you kept them. Temporary export files in the app cache may remain until the operating system clears them or you delete the app.

Local saves and recovery copies remain until replaced or removed. We cannot remotely read, recover or delete files held only on your device or in storage you selected.

Support messages and diagnostics

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments you choose to include. We use them to investigate your request, reply and handle follow-up. Email sent to support@wreckonomics.app is routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail inbox; Cloudflare and Google process those messages to deliver and store them.

Keep reports limited to what is needed. Screenshots and exported saves are optional; do not send passwords, Apple Account credentials or unrelated personal files. We do not automatically attach your save to a report.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve the request, handle related follow-up or meet legal obligations. You can ask us to access, correct or delete support information by emailing the same address. We may need enough information to verify that a request relates to you.

Apple may process app downloads, device diagnostics and TestFlight feedback under its own privacy practices. Depending on your settings and what you submit, Apple may make crash reports, screenshots or beta feedback available to us for troubleshooting. This is separate from an analytics SDK in the game. The website and browser game

The browser game saves progress in this browser’s local storage or IndexedDB on this device. Browser progress and installed-app progress are separate; transfer a save explicitly using export and import. Clearing this site’s browser data removes its local saves and backups. Private browsing and browser storage cleanup may also remove progress.

The website’s landing page and browser game use Google Analytics to understand page visits, Play-link clicks, game starts, active playing time and return visits. Google may process cookies or similar identifiers, browser and device information, referral information and normal network metadata. The game does not send the contents of your save to Google Analytics. These website analytics are disabled in the installed app.

Some website pages also load fonts from Google Fonts. The installed app bundles its fonts locally. The privacy and support pages themselves use bundled fonts and do not load Google Analytics or Google Fonts.

You can use browser privacy controls, cookie settings or a content blocker to limit website analytics. Clearing browser data does not delete information previously received by a service. See Google’s privacy policy and Google’s Analytics opt-out information.

On other website pages, Cloudflare Web Analytics also measures visits and page-load performance. These privacy and support pages exclude its automatically injected script.

Cloudflare hosts the website and processes normal web-request information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect it. Opening these pages from the app makes a web request to that service. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. External websites and services apply their own privacy policies.

Children’s information

The installed game does not require personal information to play. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If a child has provided personal information in a support message, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its removal.

Questions, choices and policy changes

For privacy questions or requests concerning information you have sent us, email support@wreckonomics.app. Local save deletion is controlled on your device, as explained above. There is no Wreckonomics account to close or advertising-tracking consent to withdraw in the installed app.

If our data practices change, we will update this page and its date. Changes that need a new permission or choice will be explained when they are introduced.
